I can’t believe how quick the summer has flown by. I remember it being the end of April and thinking to myself, all of the things I wanted to accomplish before the summer ended.  I can firmly say that I have crossed going to New York for the first time in my life and jumping into the lake with all of my clothes on off of the bucket list.

I’m not as excited for the school year to start back up again as I should be, BUT I sure am excited to for fall jackets, booties, and pumpkin spiced lattes. I’m also looking forward to getting back into a routine and having a set schedule.

As it’s still warmer outside I wanted to slightly incorporate some fall trends to this look. Suede anything is such a huge trend for this fall, so be prepared to see me wearing a ton of it. I went for my chocolate brown All Saints Suede Fringe Jacket and some denim Levi’s. I’ve already collected 5 suede jackets for fall and I don’t regret that decision at all (even though my bank account might disagree). For shoes, I am wearing my trusty Isabel Marant Jaeryn heels that I am trying to get every bit of use out of before the weather cools off.

Hope you all liked this post! Happy Hump Day!

Hey guys! I’m finally back with a new post for you from my trip to New York. I have a few posts that I am so excited to share with you from my trip. This was my very first time visiting NYC and let me tell you.. I was definitely not disappointed. In fact, I’m already planning another trip to go there within the next few months.

In these photos we visited the Brooklyn Bridge and the infamous Gay Street in West Village. I didn’t get many photos from the Brooklyn Bridge because we went while there was a marathon going on so it was PACKED. eek! But these were some of my favs. On Gay Street it was so quiet which I loved. I took some photos of the street to really capture how beautiful it actually was. It was so clean and looked like it was supposed to be a movie set.

Sunny Days in Sask.

Photography by Sarah Suchan

Days like this make me so happy. Theres something about the weather that completely changes my mood. I’m so much happier when the sun is on my shoulders and I don’t have to worry about layering up. The weather has been so crazy here in Saskatoon I don’t even know how to describe it to you if you are not from here. So we will just leave it at that!

Today I am wearing a floral dress that I have had for years! I can never seem to get rid of this dress every time I purge my closet and I have no idea why. It’s so comfortable and easy to throw on when your in a rush. I paired it with this light grey leather jacket that I recently purchased and love. The bag I’m wearing is a Chanel WOC (wallet on chain). It’s one of those bags that fit all of your necessities perfectly and so light to carry.

City Hangs.

For todays blog post I went with a sporty-chic look. I am wearing some of my favourite spring accessories which include espadrilles, vintage Chanel, and a hat while exploring downtown. The weather has been so beautiful these past few weeks here in Saskatoon, until I woke up to snow on the ground this morning. My next few outfits will NOT be a reflection of spring.

I recently just bought this army green dress by Anine Bing and am in love with it. This dress is so versatile as it can be dressed up or down for any occasion. The silk material of this dress is super comfy and flattering for all body types as it is cinched in the waist.

There is one detail in this look that is my absolute favourite. The bag! If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen my post about it. This vintage Chanel bag was my Grandmothers back in the 70s. I never had the opportunity of meeting her, as she passed away before I was born. Now I know who influenced my inner fashionista.

For years I have wanted to create a blog where I could express my ideas for fashion. Now after months of planning and preparation my dream has finally become a reality. My blog is going to feature my girly yet, casual-cool style. You can expect a little bit of everything on Runaway Style as I am always switching up my look. It makes getting dressed every morning fun and it allows me to get creative with different outfits. It will feature my personal style, beauty tips, inspiration, lifestyle, and travel diaries. I hope that Runaway Style is somewhere you can come to for inspiration or just to learn more about me. I would love to hear from you guys so feel free to comment on any of my posts!

For my very first blog post I wanted to wear something that was more striking than my everyday look. I am so obsessed with mixing different styles so I went for a girly look with a bit of edge. Feathers & leather work so well together. The boyfriend style leather jacket really dressed down this look making it perfect for a night out. Colorful heels are one of my favourite fashion trends at the moment so I went with this perfect cobalt blue pair from Zara to complete the look.
